Mist over the valley at Higher Eastcott, horses in the far field

A Place Worth Protecting

Not just land. Not just animals.
Something rarer.

Higher Eastcott Farm

I didn't just see a farm.

I felt something here.

A stillness.

A presence.

The kind of place that doesn't exist much anymore.

This isn't a project.

This is our life.

A place to raise my daughters
around animals, land, and something real.

Not screens.

Not noise.

Not distractions.

Just what matters.

A child's hand resting on a horse's muzzle
Two girls running through a wildflower meadow
Close-up of a horse's eye, the field reflected in it

The horses are not part of the farm.

They are the heart of it.

Not as assets.

Not as experiences.

As lives.

They set the pace here.

And if you slow down enough…
you realise they were right all along.

This land isn't here to be extracted from.

It's here to be lived with.

Worked with.

Looked after.

And passed on better than we found it.

Muddy boots on wet morning grass

I'm not here to flip this.

Or repackage it.

I'm here to look after it.

To become a ranger of the land.

To protect what already exists —

and carefully build what comes next.

What it becomes

Horses

Safe. Calm.
Here for life.

Family

A place to grow up
properly.

People

A few come, not many.
And they leave different.

This is not a charity that struggles.

It's a place that sustains itself —
through experiences, care, and community.

Simple income.

Real value.

No shortcuts.

So it can last.

There are a lot of places pretending to be this.

Curated. Packaged. Polished.

This isn't that.

This is real life.
And it's being built properly.

Places like this are disappearing.

Not because they aren't loved —

but because they aren't protected properly.

This one still can be.

I'm not in a rush.

This isn't about flipping something.

It's about building something that's still here in 20, 30, 50 years.

This isn't about taking something over.

It's about stepping up.

Taking responsibility.

And doing it properly.

I don't want to take this away from you.

I want to make sure what you created…

actually continues.

And I would like the chance

to prove I'm the right person to do that.

Day One

First morning on the land.

First walk with the horses.

First time the girls ran free.
